the Canon telephoto zoom lens EF-S 55-250mm 1: 4-5.6 IS STM is indeed praised here already in the skies and I would like not at all oppose.
I came however from the division of the absolute zoom lenses made by Tamron.
After much back and forth, I had for my EOS70d for the lens 18-270mm PZD (image stabilized) by Tamron decided.
At first I was happy, my claims particularly high (is my first DSLR) and I have not geknippst like crazy.
Until I got the note from an acquaintance that the images are sometimes vague. To see what he meant because however, was apparently not visible to me. No wonder, because my expectations were still not very high and I was impressed then very often their own yield the photos.
After a few weeks he gave me to test the EF-S 55-250mm 1: 4-5.6 IS STM Canon with. Once I have a busy afternoon and evening at the result saw the results, I was struck the blow.
What a difference !!! Excited, I then set the 70d on a tripod and as well as possible compared photos shot to hit for ME solution and possibly a decision.
The decision much like this: I separated from the Tamron and I am super happy with the EF-S 55-250mm 1: 4-5.6 IS STM. BUT: The Tamron is a travel lens, where one does not have to reposition and very "free". With a 55-250're there already impaired. Clearly. I would therefore like the Tamron garnicht talk bad, but to highlight the Canon 55-250STM.
A big advantage is the technology of Canon (STM). Almost silent, you can quickly switch to video mode and make a few moving images. The cracking of the Tamron was the end product, the video eigentlichem intolerable and has destroyed any AUfnahem (if you had to rely on the sound).
My conclusion was this: I have not decided for a DSLR, so I have to set a focal length, but to stay individually, can play with the technology and above all can further develop in photography myself.
This can certainly not with a lens. The quality of the so-called super zoom lenses declines in certain areas clearly. Since then a decision must, however, be taken by the owner, which is in the truest sense of the word in focus. :-)
For me it was the quality.
