But what I have to say: (!) To exhaust this camera and make use of their full potential, to which it also belongs to know the weaknesses (and use ideally), has become much more complex than it was even in the 40D. Mittlerwile digital photography moves technically in regions that could not provide analogue photography. Previously, focus and exposure for the decisive criteria, digitally enters the ISO sensitivity as an independent variable and creative tool to do so. As such, the light painting (Photography) is simple, but to let it arise masterpieces, is holding the cursed heavy on it and I do not mean to artfully staged photographs but the blazing real life to elicit something creative and hold this figuratively. Again and again I curse the fact that my "inner" eye and the resulting image is the same as little. And that is why the tool must be easily available and not give up when it comes to puzzles operation. And just as a very very usable tool is the 60D easy. Sometimes I curse everything, including my own talent, but the 60D never makes me livid.
And despite more than 25 years of experience in small format SLR photography (Pentax K-series, Minolta Dynax series etc.) and abundant and years of experience with the digital Canon EOS 40D, I'm still mistakes and learning all the time by the cameras and its peculiarities to. And just the 60D will be understood that more than 08/15-recordings of it. But the 60D is equipped for superb shots. A good glass front of it vorausgestzt and the right light, of course.
So the 60D inclines me to (in interaction with the Tamron 17-50 mm, 2.8 with VC) to want to expose something generous and I recommend 1/3 to a full stop "underexpose". Adhering to the tenet: "Burnt lights" are actually lost forever and not even by the best EBV (Photoshop etc.) to save in "shadow", however, is always to do something. Good. Is my own doctrine, but still. Go down 1/3 in doubt, almost always worthwhile.
This camera is highly recommended, even for beginners, because this camera can "grow" if you want because. Of course you can also forever remain a "clipper" and even "good" achieve images with the 60D; but they can do more and calls the occasional one.
For those with large hands and / or heavy lenses I also absolutely recommend to screw the handle underneath. The wrist is not necessarily reward it, but the balance and feel of the camera are improving a lot.
