The 1GB xD card does not work with the card reader of my 2 month old notebooks. While the included 16MB xD card is read without hesitation, the 1 GB card can not be recognized. Clicking on Windows XP will even hang and the notebook must be restarted: - (( Obviously, it concerns with the 1GB xD card to a new storage format that requires a different hardware that is not yet available on the market. This new storage format is declared as "Type-M". The "Type-M" cards have a poorer memory performance => judder in video and longer retention times in high-resolution images. Even Fuji cameras from 2004 can not read this "Type M" card Then so is also on the packaging: "The xD-Picture Card Type-M may experience interruption of movie recording .. .. Or Increased processing time ... " "The xD-Picture Card Type-M will work with all Fujifilm digital camera models released from 2005 onwards " Attention: the 512MB xD cards are partly manufactured as "Type-M", so Check carefully before opening the package! Conclusion: Here customers are sometimes worn again as a beta tester !!
