This review refers to the model with 55 inches and 3D shutter. Good: The device is impressive in size, and with for living room / night sufficient brightness with 40 Watt power consumption also pleasantly economical. In "normal mode" (2D) can reach a very nice playing with some turning to the image settings. Bad: I already have a LG 42 inch and Polarizer 3D, and this bothered me always the loss of half the vertical resolution. Diagonal lines were interrupted writings flickered that was the reason why I was hoping for the Grundig with shutter technique. Regular a FullHD screen in 3D should thus be possible yes. Unfortunately, the Grundig does not provide expected quality: Once a 3D Bluray happening and the mode switches (quite fast, compared with, for example, the LG), the image resolution is halved again only every 2nd line is displayed. (Please see the comparison picture) from 1080 is 540, and the playback unfortunately coarser. The large image format this artificial deterioration falls on all the more. Register here seems to be the image control logic from the smaller brothers (polarization, line bisection) to have been transferred to the large model
The fact that the power consumption in 3D jumps to more than 120 watts, was only mentioned for a 3D machine that has to deliver twice the brightness + sync flash, that's not a bad value.
After the Grundig brings no advantage over my old appliance so up to 30 cm more diagonal, I will not keep well. Too bad, it could have been a bargain.
