1 - First, I was a little disappointed.
This unit has 2 SCART, I thought I could program my recordings directly on my burner / recorder Philips HDD 80 GB (not TNT) to avoid buying an external HD. Niet!
This type of recorder Freeview decoder is strictly designed for USB programming.
So I connected an old tiny external HDD 80GB forgotten in a drawer. Chance !!! :-) It is nickel, it works perfectly, although the precise manual it is better to use a USB key 16GB max. :-)
I happen to have up to 70 GB of records. If I have enough space, I can save my recordings on my computer to reinstall them later.

Regarding the 2nd scart, I use it to record directly to SD my Philips burn what I want, but it does not change the channel.

2 - Otherwise, fast and automatic installation. It's amazing that such a small device offers both possibilities, too, in my opinion because it is easy to get lost in the numerous options and redundant tricks. Xoro logic does not necessarily correspond to that of the user. :-)))
Once they mastered, it's perfect; Nickel !!!
You can record two channels simultaneously and watch a third by changing the type of reception of television or watch what is already registered.
Certainly we can not capture the new HD channels but hey .... saw the first available date on the website, expected. ;-)

3 - There is an update on the site Xoro German. It dates from August 2011. This is the last.

Price / I do not know if you can do better. I recommend this decoder. ;-)
