Used on a laptop i7 with 16GB of ram, I use the icy box with a disk 2.5 '' (stress the box) WD7500BPKT, SATA disk 7500 revolutions, to run VMs. The response times are good, see equivalent better than when my VM knew was my main drive. The icy box is provided with cable USB for power (I plugged into a USB3), AND eSata cable (it also has a Dual USB cable for data and power but I do not use it, I remains eSata) It also comes with a pouch to carry the disk it clean.
Go regret anyway: That's the cover, but where do we arrange the cables, especially or ranks does one tool to open the box and put a new disk)? For cables I ended up using a separate bag, and for the tool, I pass the loop, in the tongue of the cover.
