I know all the passages, riffs, solos, lyrics by heart, note for note, line by line, and I love this album after all these years still. Why? Because it is a perfectly successful panacea for metal genre:
* Endless, sophisticated, beautiful staccato riffs.
* Endless, perfect solo attacks, one by one.
* VERY component musicians.
* Songs, each with its own character.
* Unprecedented Unison riffs and runs, often with all 4 (!) Instruments. So many "Unison-ity" is unheard of.
* Perfect combination of power, Progressive, Heavy, Thrash, Neoclassical, Tech ... Metal. The ones that describe this album with fewer genres familiar with Metal not; Quit friendship.
* A singer who was getting used to at first, but is at the top at the same height as Dickinson, Halford & Dio, I constantly preparing goose bumps, and I "hate" because singing along is impossible.
* Sections of cult horror films that I love.
* Texts about vampires, religion, mysterious creatures.
This album is truly unique, not only in Helstars Reportoire, or 80s, but until then the whole metal genre. Unfortunately Helstar were so ahead of your time and unusual that they never got out secret status. Very very bad. But the way it is with Helstar, Coroner, Toxik and all the brilliant bands of the era. Whether one likes their music or not, does not matter, this album must have! It's that simple.
