Bent cover:
When I unpacked the BKW, he at first does not work, the lid was bent and always jumped up, and then the device switches itself off again automatically. I got it anyway a few times turned and locked and then after a few attempts to solve the problem by itself, the lid holds now quite well. (Has something to do with the heat) Therefore still 5 stars.
Water quantity:
I must say I've a very long time until I understood correctly. At first I could not find anywhere how much water belongs in the BKW. I have the (German) manual 5 reads and over was only the "required" Fill amount of water. I then thought, I have to fill always as much water, as well as in the bottle / glass is - which of course was not working. Only by chance I discovered that the amounts of water are listed on the first page of the instructions in the figures. The adhesive label on the device itself, this is also noted. There are only two quantities either 30 ml or 150 ml of water. 30 ml at raumtemperiertem and chilled bottles and anything else with 150 ml of water.
Right amount / right temperature:
Some recessions it was mentioned that the amounts do not match. I now have really tried a lot and knows now that it depends mainly on the consistency and the vessel. With glass you need (probably because of the glass) by 1 level more. If the porridge quite thick you need also a step more. In Hipp glass (190ml) I use most 230 ml, is quite thick porridge then I use the 255 ml-setting. Because you do not always exactly the same amount, same starting temperature and the same water temperature, it is difficult to always get the same result, but with us it always fits quite well. It is also important that the equipment is always filled with cold water. It is also crucial if the vial / vial is takes at the first peep or the last. The longer the food is in BKW, the warmer it is. If the unit shuts down, it will remain warm for some time, which I personally find very convenient.
Water empty:
As more cold water must be used and you also do not know how much water is left, the water always needs to be emptied, which is a little more cumbersome. We use to fill a measuring cup which is always at hand, in the same time the (cooled) residual water is emptied. Therefore, the unit of Gemini is probably not as well suited.
Steam in frozen foods:
When we warmed a frozen pulp, we noticed that the hanging wardrobe was all wet. The BKW developed this extremely steamy why we recommend it if possible free of added questions, or like us a bit forward on the countertop.
Single-handed operation:
I can turn on with one hand to BKW without much trouble, so he does not slip away, as I have read in other recessions. However, it is somewhat difficult to remove the hot glass with one hand. When bottle there is no problem.
The dual assignment of the keys is initially a bit of getting used to but after 1-2 days no longer a problem.
The feed tray is not included! But not worth a star deduction!
Tips:
With VIA cups necessarily open the lid and forking only, otherwise the whole cup disfiguration. Glass of course, use only open !!
Glass with the lifting device to lift and remove with a paper towel. Since the labels come off like by the steam, otherwise everything stuck to the hand, or slips the glass out of his hand.
Always pull the plug because some watts still be drawn off in standby. For this we draw from no star, because it recommends the manual.
Conclusion:
For us the best solution, because it is really super fast and we retarded. 1 week acclimatization all variants could easily warm.
