1. Radio: Menu button defective
2. Radio: Right channel significantly quieter than the left
3.; 4. and 5. Radio: amplifier outputs defective.
The trouble in the past three radios is that you only notice this if you actually operates a power amplifier to this Head Unit. Suppose you use the device now more than two years and would then enjoy a power amplifier, you're out of warranty time outdoors and has no chance to get free replacement.
I recommend everyone who buys a car radio to let check the RCA outputs. One should even ask why a Kenwood BT 92SD so much cheaper than a Pioneer DEH-80PRS.
This is due in large part to the poor quality certainly in Kenwood home.
I would like to make any counter-advertising, because the price / performance ratio in Kenwood is unbeaten. I myself still have the previous BT 60U and was very pleased with the Head Unit and its functions to a wrong hanging Kenwood logo on the rotary multi selector. The reason why I wanted to buy the successor SD 92, was in the 14-band equalizer, which my partially should tame excepting tweeter.
I have already contacted my dealer who has stocked my car with a great facility. I asked him if he had had problems with this radio. He told me that he has already installed more than 15 of these HU's and not yet had a defect. He suggests that it is in these devices is B-goods or to foreign devices. Furthermore, the price here is supposedly under his EK, which made him quite suspicious. He said it was not really possible to offer this price when the units are bought on the German Kenwood sales.
Nevertheless, I am very impressed by this radio, because what it offers at this price (if it works sometimes) is unique. If you need more quality and more features reaches for high-end unit Pioneer DEH-80PRS. It integrates a 16-band equalizer, which can be set for both sides ISOLATED !!
I will decide in the next few days between one of the two head units - But will definitely buy from your dealer. That's me the extra value, although, according to my friend, I am a real penny pincher otherwise. ;)
