50% wastage of expensive print tapes is too much

Today I get the 1090 and am very disappointed.
As already mentioned the waste, so a waste of expensive printer tape is very high:
- After making the label are 25mm (!!) label tape attached as a "band material destruction", like it or not.
There is a menu item "preroll" but can not be set, on the contrary:
If you choose this point in the menu, you have already wasted 25mm expensive printer tape because the tape margin is triggered so that in addition.

I wanted to write on my small shelf bins with 40mm-wide labels. The device has a tape feeding of, as mentioned, much as 25mm.
This means fall at 40mm width request of the label 25mm equivalent to 40% wastage for the yellow bag on.
Or in numbers:
a label with 40mm width costs about 6 cents, by the inevitable band forward but 10 cents.

Another review here speaks of 10mm waste.
Brother has reduced the selling price of the marking device and apparently revised the printer's software.

Increase profits by 10mm to 25mm waste represents an increase of 60%.

The unit goes back tomorrow and I label again with handwritten, affixed adhesive labels ...
