Small history, as I came to the unit (Those who are not interested, please skip):
I am since 2004 satisfied home theater owners. At that time I opted for a projector from Panasonic which already HD-Ready was "even" (still a "novelty"). With a screen size of about 190 cm to 2.70 meters distance myself enough from the also quite. In 2010, I rose from DVD to Blu-ray and also in 720p, I was very satisfied with the picture. The only downside: It always had to be completely dark.
With the blockbuster "Avatar", which made me very excited technically, I began to take an interest also for the 3D technolgy. In 2010, I was able to try out the new shutter technique in a Sony Store in Las Vegas then for the first time, however, was less than enthusiastic. Glasses annoying hard annoying flickering everywhere (in the shop, it was of course not dark). In short: Nice idea, but not for me.
All the more pleased I was when the Saturn I was able to test a TV with LG's Cinema 3D last year. Sooooo 3D must be! And it was clear: As soon as the size is in clever (min. 50 "), so that a change of projectors on TV does not hurt, I'm in a hurry I did not have so many 3D media that it is worthwhile.. to be the "first", there was not yet anyway ...

The LG 65LM620S was already listed on Amazon. With 2799 Euros compared to other models quite "low". Available in "1-3 months". OK, what the hell ... Add to cart More so. Shortly afterwards, the usual Amazon game went. The price began to fluctuate. Only only 10 euros cheaper, then 20. So canceled again and ordered new. In mid-May came then another LG promo action to: Free Blu-ray player when buying a LG TV. So canceled again and ordered new. But the delivery date, nothing changed. The anticipation was great, so I registered in various forums, at least share myself with others about the device in advance.
The end of May I saw then a posting: The unit was immediately available for Expert Techno market already for 2499 Euros. OK, hell with the BD player, I eh already 'ne PS3. Nearly 300 Euro price difference did the rest: I ordered immediately there and canceled on Amazon. Was then delivered within 1 week later (in early June). Unfortunately, only free curb, so I had to drag himself to the 5th floor the monster. But the effort was worth it.
The device super chic. Finally, again one in which the frame is not so miserably narrow. As owner of a masked screen I find the better way. Clearly, the reason for the big screen is another. To improve the contrast of course you do not need to with a TV. But the brushed metal (?) Looks very nice. The device was the same day on his way to my wall - normal for television, we have continued a 32 "He just stand under it - we also like a look old '90s series on DVD which I have not in 65." Look. Worth it just is not high. There's less maintenance more - especially at the rather low seat pitch.
It started then directly to "Transformers 3" on BluRay 3D. The 3D effect on the TV is the hammer. Just something I wanted. I must say though, that at my little seat pitch of 2.70 meters quite perceives even black streaks in the picture (due to the halved vertical resolution that would otherwise turn not really bother me). Right "mix" the picture is happening only from about 3 to 3.50 meters legroom. (Mind you at 65 "- the smaller models can be closer to sit) Myself I do not mind so much, however, and my wife does not know what I'm talking ... But I'm sure that it could interfere with one or the other already longer. For ourselves moving into a larger apartment for the next or next year is planned. Until then, I can live with it quite .. ,
The image in 2D is also awesome. Especially in HD. I do not use the internal tuner, but play the picture on a Dreambox 7020HD to. Since there's at least no HD + restrictions, so be worth even the private channels (when for once actually send in HD) and I can get my shots also look at the PC, cutting and so on - for everyone in the TV internal recording function with external HDD namely not! Such disks are most PC unreadable - the recordings can only be played on TV.
The YouTube app and on TV Total MySpass.de I also angetestet. Worked flawlessly. TV Total one could look good in size despite the fact modest resolution / bitrate quite. Also the browser is good. Flash is integrated, so you can also look Web-Videos - but (so far) not in full-screen mode. I hope there will eventually remedied by update. The computing power of the TV through the browser also something appears "feeble". For simple Lightbox-JavaScripts (Galleries) he gets quite nicely to a halt ... So all quite slow. Take time to start a slide show of your website from so would be difficult. However, simple pages it represents good ...
2D to 3D conversion is also a nice feature. However, you should still make adjustments to the image settings here but probably. I have tested it with the beginning of "Transformer 2". This had somehow "weird". The picture seemed somehow "floating". Can you explain difficult. At football matches and normal "non-action films" I noticed them again nothing. But the effect is worth even treat at "shooting films". Do I need to try again later and mess around in the settings.
That's all I could at this point then that unfortunately did not test because the TV had a clear problem: a fairly large Flashlight (30-40 cm wide) in the lower center of the image. This is in the price range of course not so, even if you only saw it when it was pitch dark and the picture on the TV dark or black. At that point very clearly. About the forums I found out that another problem not obviously had. So probably an isolated case. Lucky me!
Therefore, I decided to return the unit back. I wanted it just replaced - technician comes, brings a new device and takes the old with. Unfortunately, LG does not do that. The maximum send someone to repair (that probably drives the device, panel exchanged and then returns). When a new device of this price, I do not see the one, however, so I got it - thanks to distance selling law - fully returned. By the way: Due to the size and weight is not an easy decision. But the box was still thank God willing (that should not be left to take directly from the delivery guys it!). In Expert's first was no replacement. The instrument is there for the time being "sold out". But the reimbursement ran smoothly.
Meanwhile, the price of 2399, was also at Amazon - Euro fell. So once again 100 euros cheaper. Free BD player gave it still. In addition, there's the player even a 3D BD to "Puss in Boots". Since I could "get over" that the extended warranty on the Ergo costs 239 euros here (when there were only 180 Euro Expert). Overall, therefore, still cheaper + encores. And the best: Amazon provides to the installation site and not only to the curb (by the way, was picked up from the other device again - again schlep).
A couple of weeks of waiting I had to now still survive. But then it suddenly went quite quickly. Before the moment demanded by Amazon that I pay by credit card, direct debit collection because not go. Whether this was due to the sum or the fact that I have repeatedly canceled and ordered new, I do not know - but I do not care, because I own the Amazon KK. On a forum I learned then that you so automatically has 3 years warranty (the 3rd year on the LBB with 50 Euro SB) - nice feature, even if it is with me does not matter because I always in the Ergo to 5 years will extend. In addition, you can still get on the course KK credited bonus points that total again mean a discount of 48 euros! Not too shabby either! One should look, however, necessarily mean that the standard has sufficient funds KK also sufficient to pay for the device. For me it was not initially the case. That could be but to increase by a short call at the KK-company problems in the short term, so that the payment in the 2nd run then also went through.
And now is the "replacement" because. Aberration: No.
I also see no Clowding, no Flashlights. All the best. In football I see minimal banding, but not that it bothers me. Especially since I myself do not watch soccer and movies I see them (so far) nothing ...
Sound is OK for normal TV but of course due to the limited space for speakers and no firecrackers. For movies, of course, worth of connecting to a sound system.
Optionally available is a "Magic Remote" remote control with which you can quite easily move a mouse pointer over the menu. This is of particular interest to the apps and the browser. However, only the AN-MR300 works (currently about 50 euros), not the AN-MR200 (currently about 30 euros). I did, however, sometimes with my existing wireless keyboard including touchpad of KeySonic tested. The touchpad controls the mouse pointer also easily - even wireless mice could therefore function. And even the keyboard works in browsers outstanding! Optimum It's really not ... Unfortunately, you can enter on the keyboard in the YouTube app but nothing, but must select the letters on a virtual keyboard by cursor. But good keyboard support was not promised, but would still have been a nice feature when the would anywhere. But this is certainly due to the app and not to LG. The "Magic Remote" I need now, however, definitely not.
The only thing now still bothers me is the extremely reflective surface. I realize that so that the colors "brilliant" are, but what use is this to me, if I day in dark scenes see my living room, instead of the few visible details? In my opinion, a stupid development - just like laptops. However, for me, unfortunately, is "no alternative", because the Cinema 3D models all reflect - and in this size, there is in this country so far only one. I will survive it. 80% We look after all the evening. Because it goes.
Nevertheless, 1 point deduction for the reflective surface and that my first instrument was the huge Flashlight. Clearly a mistake on the part of LG. Even if something occur naturally CAN. It should not. What there are final inspections? Many others would have probably returned and LG were no second chance or even necessarily retain due to the return expenses ... But as I said, are the "individual cases". The device is of course still top. But 4 out of 5 are not bad ...

So, now I have to test a little more detail ...
The browser is nice, but not to be used as a permanent Internet more. The font looks a bit "weird" and distributed somehow rather "narrow" on the screen. In addition, the presentation is lame really. Both when scrolling as well as JavaScripts and Flash content (apart from video) there are noticeable delays and jerky everything easily. To quickly look up what times, but it is sufficient, of course, if you do not specially want to boot up the computer.
Furthermore, now reported by several buyers that the device frequently runs out of time alone (and possibly shortly afterwards comes back on). I was in between once. Whether it occurs more frequently if you use the TV more often, I do not know. I myself only look from time to time movies it yes. If necessary, can be solved by a software update addresses the issue. According to LG Customer Hotline you have to reset the device to factory settings after an update. Who uses the internal tuner, thereby losing all channel settings (myself does not affect it). That is probably suboptimal.
Otherwise I have accidentally discovered a dead pixel. I have not sought, because I do not really want to know something (because you then repeatedly ignored it). One no longer sees it but from about 1 meter distance already and can not find it right away again, even if you know it. So there is only one small flaw, as long as the non-expanding.
Nevertheless I find now justified the 4/5 points. I had already wavered 4-5 ...
