And really, the usual gunslinger sound recalls - except the voice - nothing more. The album is kept very quiet. The acoustic guitar sets the tone, to the accompaniment sound occasional strings and winds. But that's a good thing.
It is precisely "It does hurt to see you so" with the quiet songs like "Ghosts" or "You're alone with you" convinced the singer. That Johannes Strate can write lyrics, which he proves already since time immemorial with his band. But only he can convince them. And he's right, the songs do not fit gunslinger, they are much more thoughtful and melancholy.
A beautiful plate to rest and relax, even if a little variety would not have hurt. The songs are mainly from leaving (be) and being together - more than any other topic. And also a few numbers faster would be nice. Nevertheless, it is worthwhile to buy this album. It will be interesting if it was a one-time trip to the "solo world" or if there follows a sequel.
