A book which France needed

When one is a sociologist or historian of the present, we must be careful not to wrinkle and develop a consistent view that the public expects. This is the great gap humanities who need time to shed light on a social phenomenon or a historical event.
Emmanuel Todd, meanwhile, decided to immediately talk about the attacks in Paris and demonstrations on 11 January 2015. It was obvious that he was provoked strong differences. But, true to his intellectual stature, he took the plunge and it is to his credit.
