Overall my projector is in the living room watching movies and occasional TV programs.
Advance the apparent. Diverse connection options allow connecting the projector with a variety of sources. From my side, all connections are available, which I need.
Not always, of course, an on / off switch is on this unit also attached to the power supply so that when not in use so whatever caused power consumption can be prevented entirely.
The resolution of the projector is a decisive criterion sensational and this machine.
Were noted here several times the extent of the projector. Unlike the BenQ W1000 is definitely true that it is significantly larger. For me, he is on a Billy-shelf (30cm depth). Among the projectors I have put a board that has the breadth and depth of the projector. Overall, the entire construct is thus slightly over the shelf, but is kept very stable on the shelf by weight. Who is afraid drum, the board firmly bolted in addition to the shelf. Alternatively, of course, be possible without shelf with brackets on the wall. Well overall the best solution for a "projector bracket" because diverse, offered here at Amazon solutions for ceiling mounts do not seem to fit on the EH-TW2900, according to reviews.
The size per se, I would not see as a shortcoming, because it subtly comes in white color and placed on the shelf or under the ceiling not disturbing.
Oh just on the edge, the other projectors also had to stand on the said board, as they too survived despite lower dimensions!
I already had in constructing the beamer The first wow experience. Where my previous, old presentation projector and the BenQ W1000 had to be cumbersome and not completely harmless tilted because of the elevated position on the shelf forward and realigned via keystone correction, the Epson EH-TW2900 is clear and flat / straight. The alignment is done conveniently via the highly flexible lens shift. Here, the lens is moved to by the top-mounted on the housing dials so that the image is brought to the desired location. A keystone correction is not necessary.
The focus and zoom also take place in this unit comfortably in front of the lens.
The low setting is sensational (ECO Mode) and again much quieter than the BenQ W1000.
The remote is functional, clear and leaves - also due to the ease of use - no claims openly. The dimensions of the remote control would have been a bit more compact.
The projector allows the menu to select different presets. As for me significant examples here are housing and Theatre Black 1 call. When housing preset is assumed that you want to use the projector in daylight. So it's ideal for football matches or similar afternoon programs. This setting we had also tested immediately after assembly and were excited about the good brightness and the clear image to be recognized, despite not darkened living room.
The theater settings are very well suited for movie viewing in the evening and left early as the default settings a very good movie enjoyment. If you want to make changes to the settings, this can quickly and easily make at various regulators in the menu.
Attached is the projector for television operating current to a Panasonic HDD recorder via HDMI cable 10m. The (analog) television picture is doing better over, as the BenQ W1000 and can look good thus. Ideal it is with digital television signal, but this is due to the signal and not the projector.
Due to the "bad" experiences with the image when BenQ W1000 I have paid particular attention on the Epson EH-TW2900 for errors of the projector, but could find none. Even the remarked as needing improvement here and there black level is perfectly in my eyes.
The surcharge for BenQ W1000 is the Epson EH-TW2900 absolute value. For me, a strong buy recommendation.
