I bought this USB stick on the English website of Amazon (it was cheaper than the French site), with the intention of filling documentaries for my children to view ;-) loop.

The key is of good quality, all-plastic but seems a strength quite honest. The sliding mechanism seems to be reliable and durable, and the whole is not too bulky.

Unfortunately, it is appallingly slow: for video files (so large, of the order of 1 GB each), best writing speed I got (with USB 2.0) is 3.5 MB / s . In other words, to fill it took me 10 hours !!

For disposal of this may do the trick, but for regular backups of large files, there is also much faster (even in USB 2.0).
