The Steve Jobs presentations secrets (Paperback)

Customer Review

I read this book in its first edition and this comment will therefore focus on substance rather than on translation, but that does not make much difference to the result. Indeed, it is not a translation that will change the frame and the basic content.
This book, although he denies being a biography, is a product of aficionados. I appreciate Steve Jobs, his approach, his work, his vision, his products, but that is not what I had come in this book. Of course, I did not expect to unexplored wonders and did not expect anything extraordinary of "secrets" used in the title, but then to come to such a shine manifest pumps ... Three quarters this book are devoted to praising the man and his work, to encourage us to study the details of his rise and his progressive engineering ... as if he needed it.
Presentation it is ultimately very little discussion and only as cliches. I would strongly advise you to consider all other purchases if this is your main goal (look rather Presentation Zen: For more simple, clear and persuasive presentations which is a reference of its kind on the subject).
As I said, the author of this book refutes having written a biography, yet it is the most positive point of this book: it is a wealth of information on how and Jobs is his approach to management. And that is why he will remain in my library, despite my harsh notes which sanctions the catchy appearance too typical of some American works
