I travel about 1000km per week, mostly by train. In addition to a suitcase I have also always been a heavy laptop bag while I occasionally put on the trunk and "let mitrollen".
In my own assessment I require that I use case considerably - but I'm not improperly or even ruthless to them.
My experiences are as follows:
1) The design: Here the case can boast. The enlargement of the internal volume of a zipper is nice and the interior is designed in such a way as one would expect (straps, minor). Nice is also the exterior compartment for individual documents / papers.
The appearance is acceptable -for a Stoffkoffer-. One suspects also watching, that the case has cost no 150EUR.
2.) The delivery quality: With now more than 10 deliveries, I had no direct complaint. Stains or other defects I have never been able to detect.
3.) Build quality: This shows: There is a * cheaper * suitcase. This is reflected not only in price but also in quality.
Basically a trolley has two critical points: The wheels and the drawbar. The wear of these sites depends on the load ("laptop bag drauflegen", "cobblestone", "on the drawbar lift, eg for stairs") ... and even of the processing.
And here is the case shown the greatest weaknesses:
The wheels have a cheap suspension ("made of plastic") and they are made even from a cheap plastic. This means that there are already a few 100 meters is the first noticeable wear at a halfway-filled suitcases. Gradually, then get worse track running, one of the wheels and eggs - should the total blockade and the total loss of the wheels - finally. Important here to note here that the wheels according to my perception of each case are the same size ... the burden, however, obviously depends on the case size.
In other words: This disadvantage is difficult for large specimens (L, XL), the smaller it is less important.
The drawbar is (naturally) for easy pulling on a flat surface (eg airport) from all good enough. But again: When loading the material shows timely fatigue. Knockouts are are mainly the actual plastic handle (the happy times just breaks) and the screw connection of this same plastic handle (with length screws). These bolts work loose after a while. A tightening of the screws is of course possible, but either you pull very firmly (which leads to the plastic grip breaks) or to remain "loose" ... which means that loosen the screws again promptly. I have tried a lot, but a really good solution, there are not. And with all due respect for a cost-effective construction: At least this predetermined breaking point could be through some longer screws (1/2 centimeters would be enough) eliminate for minimal cost - if it were as desired.
In summary, my bags have each held 3-6 months, after which the rod and / or the roles were beyond repair and then I bought a new suitcase.
I am nevertheless remained true to this case for long, because:
- The extremely favorable price makes it possible to buy 2-3 times a year a new case (which then also first "chic and new" look)
- Also demonstrate experience with sophisticated systems that said predetermined breaking points are indeed processed better - but the long-term protection also not unlimited. In this respect, keep these bags do not last forever - but the cost 10-20igfache.
In sum:
- For occasional holiday trips especially by car (due by plane) the case can not be beat on price.
- When you use demanding the cheap workmanship do not forget this.
- Due to the [lately increasing] complaints about the "most significant case" by Samsonite Rimowa or even true the statement "more expensive is better" in the trend, although already ... but there remains the question of whether you actually with a high quality suitcase travel more cheaply. In my experience, even high-quality luggage go after 2 years over the river bed - then one has not necessarily made a better deal.
As far as my experiences and assessments. I hope they help you.
