Everything pleased me and made me feel like in this novel, I love the cover, the summary I find so enticing ... also, thank Goodreads for their confidence at a critical mass and the publisher Lumen for the sending of this first book I devoured! If there is a title you must read Lumen Editions, it's this one!
Yes, I loved it, it's a heart stroke and it feels good ^^

I quickly made history, we must say that the author does not waste time and immediately confronts us with the new life of our heroine, giving us just enough information to understand what happened.

Amy is the daughter of a mother with a senior position in the research for the government, making it ultra safe house, and the daughter of a father environmental activist, hence the quasi-autonomous home water level , electricity ...
That is all that will save Amy carnage unfolding before his eyes, outside of the shelter afforded by its home, a brutal and violent bloodshed, without concession.
It is a real shock to the teenager, who will hardly survive the first few days, as stunned by the loss of loved ones and the loss of the world, almost.
But Amy is strong and smart, and will spend three years during which she will learn to survive among these monsters devourers of human flesh with a child for company.

The first part of the novel concerns the survival in this post apocalyptic world, how they feed, learned to move without noise, etc. As often in this kind of story, we realize that man can quickly become more dangerous than the creatures that Amy and Baby will discover.

I loved every moment of this first part I found very intense. There is almost no dialogue since our heroines have learned to communicate by sign. They live in a world of silence and it is quite disturbing. I think it is also the most striking thing in this novel, silent. How to live every day without making any noise, failing to attract these monsters? Baby Amy and will yet succeed.

The relationship between Amy and Baby is strong and beautiful. They see themselves as sisters, but Amy is more like a mother with Baby. It develops a strong protective instinct for her and be willing to die to protect it.

The second part of the novel is a fascinating dystopian side.
We thought we could relax a little, and in fact, it's worse. There is a tension sick. One immediately understands that Amy is in danger through small passages and she tells us that every time we added even more tension. I will say no more to let you discover it for yourself, but what power! even worse than the first part of the novel, because here there is no place to hide, no silence and monsters can be anywhere, anyone ... The danger is all the time there are regularly holding our breath because we know that something will happen, and we really fear for Amy and Baby.
The human race will once again show us all its horror and end up in a totalitarian world, where certain questions bother and where one does not hesitate to get rid of those who ask.
So that one would almost want to return to live among the creatures and the silence imposed to survive ...

Suspense in rebounding, there was not a minute to breathe quietly, it was the heart that beats a ball in the stomach, and one can not help but read, turning the pages to reach the end. And then we say that the second and final volume will be even more tense, more dangerous !!!

In short, a heart for this novel that we actually see all the colors, one is caught up in this distressing story that keeps us in suspense until the last page.
