We had a Canon G11 before buying a G12 and were very pleased. This one we have been stolen during a burglary, we needed a replacement. Making the underwater photography for this device and having a box of CANON brand, plus a waterproof case PATIMA 100m from home, our choice would be worn on another G11 if the new version of this model had not the same dimensional characteristics. Indeed, for once a manufacturer upgrade a product, without ensuring that nothing is the same place, deserves mention. Indeed, even if the new control wheel can be pressed before under water, the fact remains that the G12 does not require an expensive remake expenditure underwater case. Very good product, easy to use, making quality photos, now with the ability to shoot in true HD (although this is not what one asks a NPC). Only drawback, which does not directly incriminate the device, but the trademark case (WP-DC34) is that the default study and testing, up the angle of the flash unit in front of it which in consequence of forming a particularly visible gray area (not very pro CANON on this one). In terms of the device, it is a safe bet, but I do have a star removed for plastic effect a little lighter than the previous and photos CANON box.
