I am a regular Philips shavers and I think it must be my 7th. I have experienced the evolution of these products, which I have always been quite pleased. However, even in the best of worlds, nothing is ever perfect. This shaver so has some improvements over the old range, particularly in terms of the grid. The design is new and promises a better cut. In fact it's a little true, but it is not obvious. In addition, the support grids is enlarged, suggesting that the grids themselves are larger and therefore more effective. Actually, no. They are the same size. I would even say that the larger size of the head and media is an embarrassment to the precision of movement and quality of shaving. After a few days of shaving, I see that this razor is more effective on hard beard, but not on those long hairs and neck. I get the same result as my old razor (Touch 3D) when it was new. Prior to removing the grids, 3 fingers enough. This now there is provided a small tool orange plastic that do not especially need to lose ... A good point: the shaver is extrêmemet quiet, so much so that one wonders if he will be very effective ... One bad point: ergonomics. If the shaver is well in hand, the power button is misplaced and we tend to turn the unit off when shaving. It would have been better to place the lower part or bottom of the device. The beard trimmer is rather well done, thanks to its adjustable cutting height, but its position on the inclined body of the device does not allow easy handling.
As for the price - about 180 euros - I find excessive in relation to the overall quality of the device and that of the actual shaving. Fortunately, there is an ODR of 50 euros at the moment. What makes the most reasonable price.
