A good big surprise

The box is very large and it falls on the beast from the opening. When the phone comes out of the beautiful box you feel the cold metal in hand. It changes more or less successful Korean plastics.

The finish is very beautiful in the line of a HTC One Max. Aluminum (like my HTC One M7 regretted that overheated after 2 months) and a beautiful Neo-screen Full HD IPS Gorilla Glass 3 treated and protected by a discreet extra film. This is not a sapphire screen as announced at some salons but still very good).

The size is still important, even greater than my LG G3 I returned to the Amazon after 3 weeks for repeated problems with microphone and speaker.

No documentation in the box or on the website Huaweï is normally banned in France.
Fortunately, I know very well the Android operating system for several years. By looking carefully, I still found a Hicare applying pre-installed where there are manuals. By contacting Huaweï support, I was able to recover a brief guide of 35 pages in English.

On startup, after submitting his Google profile, the phone launches the installation of all "my" Google Play applications, including those I had installed once without keeping them.
It's a bit long, but fortunately removing applications that you do not wish to keep is very fast.

The screen is beautiful but I put a few days to get used to the style brown / gold screens. The menus are quite complicated, it is difficult to find the Android functionalities. A pity, especially as the phone is Android KitKat, you could probably do without the Emotion UI 3.0 interface Huaweï.

We find all the high-end features of the moment:
- 4G LTE,
- WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n (but no ac as on the LG G3)
- Bluetooth 4.0,
- GPS, gyroscope, compass, accelerometer, pedometer,
- NFC for pairing an enclosure, for example.
- The fingerprint reader to unlock the screen and the protection of certain files in a safe (with use, it works fine except when awakening in the morning, you have to press the button and enter the One code).

It is regrettable:
- Not détanchéité,
- No infrared port (like the HTC One and LG G3), finally rather anecdotal,
- No load induction, and this time, I really regret the use of a standard IQ charger, especially since the micro USB cable's quite difficult to connect.

Level, playing videos, the colors are very natural. In the picture level is average in low light but very good outdoors. The image is very flattering on the smartphone screen, but it's more like a pixel porridge after transfer to PC. I did not have all the possible functions for shooting and post production.

In terms of games, it's a great surprise. Iron Man 3, and most importantly, Real Racing 3 going very well and no overheating is detected after 30 minutes of play. It's a damn good news for me (see the HTC One death).

The top single speaker on the back of the device is really not great but the listener is correct. It was hoped the noise canceling headset presented at exhibitions, but almost 100 euros, it would have dramatically raised the price. The "My Music" available on the home page and even on the lock screen displays the title of an album in alphabetical order. Fortunately we can use the Google Music app instead.

One complaint I had lost communications moving me. In fact, put the phone several seconds or minutes to connect to the most powerful antenna. After several fruitless exchanges with Huaweï carrier that does not yet know this phone, I was put in touch with a technical manager who sent me an important update to the phone. In fact, I received the phone 2 weeks before its release in France!

I did some speed tests with speedtest, 50Mbps download (max blocked needle during the entire test) and 37 Mbps sending 4G Free in a shopping center at rush hour!

I have no problem to store the phone in my pocket because I wear XXL, this may explain it. I simply put my phone in a textile cover glasses before putting it in my pocket.

Truly a beautiful phone, very powerful, complete and very well finished which I highly recommend.
