I must say, never took me a product so surprised in a positive sense.
I use this keyboard only been a week, and this time alone was enough "love" me in the keyboard. This is my first mechanical keyboard has to be noted. Never expected that the difference to regular keyboards is so great.
It's just great when typing so much fun that you can open text documents to let off on going to type ... This is perhaps not the response that everyone shows when he has are a great keyboard on the table, but with me this was the case!
No frills, no media buttons, no macro keys and no abgespacetes design, and yet I miss nothing of these things, which are mostly offered by regular gaming keyboards in this price range. The design is simple, what suits me personally, and a little compressed.
The USB hub, which is located at the back I use personally do not, and I will probably not use it because I just do not need. One in my opinion unnecessary feature, especially since it is USB 1.1, and thus is quite slow.
For me personally, this keyboard has no disadvantages that are somehow essential, but others do not like it to be, so I'm counting times all positive and negative points that I noticed:
Pro:
- Simple Design
- Relatively space-saving
- Great typing feel
- Mechanical keys, thus durability and long
- Price (quite cheap for mechanical keyboard)
- Keylock (interesting only for games in most cases)
- Illuminated keys (in most cases probably only required for LAN parties, I do not use)
Cons:
- Slight deviation from the standard layout,
-> Ctrl, Windows and Alt keys are small sized
-> Insert, Delete, End ... buttons are located above the Numblock
-> The "0" in Numblock is also smaller than normal
- LEDs very bright and can dazzle one, if one looks at it darkened room
- No PS / 2 port
Neutral:
- USB hub:
Is only 1.1, and therefore not to be used for many things, but as the keyboard offered as a feature not necessarily a disadvantage, you have to use it not so.
Since the default layout is actually pretty no matter to me as long as the letters are in the right positions, I see no problem here. With me so far every new keyboard had a little own layout, and I have no problems looking round used since.
The bright LEDs do not bother me, I look very rare on the keyboard. Everyone needs to know for himself whether this point is buying decision, for it is this is not definitely.
No PS / 2 port is present is a pity, but for me not so bad. Have enough USB slots, and the additional buttons that I could push with PS / 2, for me are not of relevance.
Before I write more here, the review even more in the length of the keyboard I just give an absolutely clear recommendation to all those who want to get use / test a mechanical keyboard. However, let me say that here are installed the MX Black switches from Cherry. If this is just better informed again.
To all others: you can practically do no wrong if you buy this keyboard.
Absolute buy recommendation!
