Excellent external DVD burner. I bought it to operate with a small portable 13-inch Asus brand also (to be sure of compatibility) on Windows 8.1, which has no writer, like all small ordis. The computer recognized him right away, the supplied CD is used to install burning software that I have not tried, few today are serious. I plugged it into the USB port 3 provided for charging devices, suddenly a single USB cable was enough, but it comes with a double cable if power is not sufficient.
