For several months now I have the Lumix G5 and am very happy with this system camera. To my complete happiness to me just a decent zoom lens and even more important, a backup battery is missing. Panasonic of course also has a solution for it, only they can pay their quality also. Research and consultancy showed that you simply can not use a third-party product as Panasonic follows the path of many producers and the camera with the battery must be compatible. Now In this battery full compatibility was promised at a significantly lower price, only the battery capacity is lower by 1/4. The battery fits, is recognized by the camera and also extends for several hundred photos. The number of recordable pictures varies with each battery, especially as lightning but also monitor display and autofocus energy use and completely identical conditions could be produced only in laboratory conditions. Due to the lower capacity of this battery lasts but not necessarily for the same number of shots. A long-term test how it behaves in months and many charge cycles than the original will only give the time. For the moment there is nothing to complain about and I can fully recommend this product as a spare battery.
