I was disappointed by the first part of the novel. Patch is unfortunately not present and I found it a pity. He was already not much there in Crescendo and Silence, I would have preferred it to be closer to Nora. I had the impression to see more scenes with Dante, a new Nephilim with Patch.
The beginning does not sound like a last volume, it is too flat. I thought the relationship between Patch and Nora was finally solid and yet the girl continues to be jealous all the time fields. I felt a "deja vu" when passing with Dabria and again I found it annoying.
Fortunately, these negative points are for the first part of Final. I finished it in one day and I had a very good read. Already because we're going from one surprise. Unlike Silence, Finale is full of revelations. You are never safe from a betrayal of a character, like Nora, we do not know whom to trust. I have found the magic end, perfect. I closed the book with a smile. I am very pleased by this choice of the author.
Regarding the characters, Nora is therefore more human it is more interesting, stronger even though his character does not change. She became the Black Hand and must find a balance between performing its mission (lead the army of Nephils) and his relationship with a fallen. It is between the two clans, torn between his oath and his feelings. Patch made me laugh with his lines, his humor I missed in the third volume. I love this character so much (how that I repeat myself?).
In short, I am still a bit disappointed by this latest novel, a bit slow to start but fortunately, the last chapter closed in beauty saga. Hush Hush would make a great movie, who knows, maybe it will happen. I hope so anyway.
