First sound. The sound rendering the Parrot Zik 2.0 is really good for my taste, although some may find that there is a little too low. However, the highlight of this helmet is the application that accompanies used to configure the sound from the headphones and this is a real plus. We can even set the sound rendering for accurate song so that it is adapted to the kind of music we listen. Noise reduction is very effective but is not at a Bose. But ultimately it is a true happiness of a sound point of view.
The headset can also be used in passive (with a wire that connects the headset to the player) to not use the battery. But, and this is the first big flaw of the headphones, the sound is really passive disappointing. Further noise reduction works only if the headset is on so it is not usable in liabilities. The Parrot helmet must be absolutely be used in active mode for a good sound quality.
Then to ergonomics, the headset is comfortable to wear in all but if you wear glasses, I advise you to try it in stores before because personally I do not find it comfortable. I find the idea of the touch screen on the right earphone really friendly. Even if it turns out not to be very accurate (there it is sometimes necessary to try twice to launch a command), I find it pleasant to use as a whole. Moreover, the headset uses a feature that mutes the sound when you remove it from your head. This is convenient but again, this feature is not successful ... My pieces often find themselves paused when I yawn and resume at the end of bailment for example, or when I make a motion of the jaw too much . If you wear glasses, the risk of this defect occurring is even more important. This forces to disable this feature that is most convenient.
At independence, the battery will last between 5 and 6 am if it was fully charged. Personally I find it much too light in terms of autonomy. Also, if you can not charge it when the battery is empty and you want to listen to your music, it will go passive, and as said above, the sound is bad. I refer also to buy a second battery.
Ultimately, the helmet is really good, the sound is good. And I really find the product comfortable to wear. As for autonomy against damage that could have been longer. But it is a really perfected helmet.
Although I have highlighted many shortcomings, they rarely appear in relation to my listening time. Can be overridden in short. But I think at this price, account must be taken of the criteria. Hope these defects will be corrected on the next version.
