... Where I advance a giant problem was: the device did not work on my Canon 10D. It is beyond the scope of this review to describe the troubleshooting, so a quick run. The mounting plate is a little thinner (10EL mm) than the original Canon flashes, the contact pins are also a lot shorter, cost saving reasons? The hot shoe of the camera is a sheet metal part that is not manufactured with such a high precision, and when intercalates the flash and locked using the knurled screw, it can happen just that the contacts loose and the camera does not recognize the device. Cost me one day trial and error and hit land, I was on the verge return the thing, until I, as an old mechanic was able to fix the problem, why not full marks. And now to the device. After I am now working very happy. The display has a sufficient size and sharpness when it is dark (usually the case with flash photography ;-)) there is a sufficient backlight by pressing, which turns off after about 5 sec. Again, not for the keys, but you can have not all. Distance setting for the exposure operates with its own sensor, so regardless of the camera, it works well with the camera and brings good results. Whether direct lightning, indirect lightning, Bounceblitz, the device has both an extendible reflector and diffuser are together and separately usable. The highlight - at least in my opinion - is the rotation and tilt in almost all directions, 90 degrees to the right, 180 degrees to the left (ie backwards) vertically and 90 degrees, with the flash then automatically goes into the 50 mode, you can use the flash without problems indirectly in the vertical position, which is a problem with many other clip-on. There is a very good manual mode, where you can the distance, aperture and also the use of energy (!) Set. In the latter Cullmann has anyway something deep stacked, the reported 80 recordings are exceeded by some (certainly was so for a Rechargeable Battery Pack Panasonic 4x 1600 mAh and 100%). However, although it is also possible to reduce this energy use via button in 4 stages (until 1/16), which explains the very interesting side effect is that up to 10 continuous shots in tenth-second intervals are possible, then either conversion or try the necessary and does not work (had to find for a rental like me) to each camera. Also noteworthy is that the device after 3 minutes in standby mode goes, but with the camera as this "awakened" in exactly the same speed and is ready in seconds. And then there are the bargain yet the slave mode, ie it provides or specifies the device somewhere in the place of their choice - or even two of them ;-)) - and removes them from the built-in flash of the camera, working even with averted Sensor properly. Otherwise you can be satisfied with the processing, the closure of the battery compartment should however with some caution treat (but at the Canon flashes as well). Conclusion: not recommended for the inexperienced amateur (although the automatic function is quite good), highly recommended for the ambitious amateur and semi-pro who times need now and a good flash, but not necessarily a professional device, the Professional are already made more money. And in the meantime I have the device for 2 years and am still very happy, what more do you want, if the warranty has expired ;-))).
