Written on the same pattern as the other novels by Kate Atkinson, Blue Mouse walks us through different eras, leads us briskly from laughter to tears and vice versa, and keeps us in suspense from beginning to end with a good plot tied ... yet we do not find surprising finesse and intelligence of other novels by Kate Atkinson, unfortunately.
