In "A Life Form" Amélie Nothomb tells the story of an obese pathological liar who embarks on a hilarious epistolary relationship with the young author. As often in Nothomb, this wacky plot is a pretext to talk about the creation and the peculiar relationship between an artist and his public. If in the act of writing is always intertwined falsehood and sincerity, it's because he seems to be both necessary ingredients to create the desire of the other.
