After I've already tried a no-name combi recorder, then I grabbed it for branded goods. I was not disappointed with the Panasonic DMR-ES 35. The device is reasonably processed, has a lot of connections, even the ones I need, like component video and digital audio. Everything gives a super picture. The video site is very well resolved. The device not only processes ordinary VHS tapes, which are by the way super reproduced due to the built-in techniques, but also S-VHS tapes. Even the few VHS ET video tapes that I had from a previous recording recorder run properly! Everything okay: very fast Bandumspulung, index management pp. The DVD side of course is so special about this device. It processes (recording standard) actually DVD-R -RW, + R DVD + RW, etc., and of course DVD-RAM, which are now used mainly from me. This recorder is ready for use immediately after switching on. And DVD-RAM can be seen as a hard drive, just great. - I have to add here that I had previously been four other DVD recorder (only with DVD + R + RW) had and knew. - Finally, the operating noise: The machine is very quiet despite internal fan. During normal operation, do not even hear. Only when recording a movie on the DVD-RAM while recording another look of the DVD-RAM, then you hear sporadically "read noise". If you look, however, the receiving film a short delay, these head noises are not heard. For remote control, I can say: even well resolved because even the "foreign brand" TV can be operated with it. One even without a manual most of the functions under control. So for me, a top unit, it enjoys the full five stars! By the way: What is not a matter of course in other devices, the DVD recorder draws with VPS not only date and time, but also the movie with title to.. Thus a cumbersome later renamed deleted!
