Too much action:
This can grow as you like, meaning it is a matter of taste. You can talk a lot still to many people in many places. So this falls not only once away. The action is slightly better staged than in the first part. In my opinion, my companion can more quickly and easily control and command. (Small note, I have two hours before I bought ME2, had ME1 Duch played, so it can absolutely compare well both games with each other.) When ME 1, it is often happened that the companions are just stayed and nothing did, what was the guarantee of absolute frustration. This is solved better in ME2. Ok, I see, I'll get an on the control. On the topic of "too much action" I can only say that the scenario was perfectly staged and in my opinion the bridge between very good action and RPG was defeated successfully.
The inventory:
The inventory is getting used poor. Because unlike ME1 you get the inventory is not always "there" (it seems to be "realistic"). Located at different addresses you have terminals where you can equip his companions. A little but I do not have here the overview of the existing objects, since you have to first select a character, then addition you need the Spezi (hand gun, assault rifle ...) and then there is, if you have several options, ie to equip several guns. That was in ME1 but similar just went much faster by hand. However, I think it's good that it no longer soo incredibly are many guns. In ME1 you have sometimes sat there for half an hour before you have all the people suitably equipped. The fall off in ME2.
Muddy textures:
My favorite gripe. Who stand out in an RPG from Bioware muddy textures and it still pulls up, the think is beyond help. "Yes Lord of the Rings is already the best book in the world, but the fonts are too small!" Bright Lights !!
Sidequests
Well, this I can not say as much. Only so much that until now everything somehow "round" effect. One makes here a bit for this fraction, betrays there another fraction. The side quests are better integrated but I think in the main story.
Explore Mako minigames Planet
Well, I was a fan of Makos. Yes, I have these missions loved because they gave me really "be alone in space" brings a sense of. The falling away now, because now the "Planet Scan" comes. So you scanned with the right mouse button pressed on a planet and whenever the graphic displays "Hey There platinum" you send with the left mouse button down a probe. Which then has the raw materials to their account. Helpful these commodities are primarily for upgrades (ammunition, biotics, ship armor, etc.). I think the whole not great solved, because whether you're using the Mako 10 minutes on a planet herum- "crosst" or with the right mouse button a "colorful ball" scans .. well, a matter of taste.
The other mini-games are new and are also better than the constant "triangle in the middle of" game of ME1.
why Collector's Edition?
I got myself you CE, because I had missed it by DA: O to fetch the CE. I know, not a very great reason, but I wanted a CE of a Bioware game. Well, I've bought in the trade for 75.
The bonus DVD: Is actually fürn Ars ... because everyone has the Internet, the videos and wallpapers that are included on the DVD, also get free on the net.
The comic: I have not read it yet. Only so much can be revealed: He is short, well drawn and in English.
The Style Book: Also, this is very nicely drawn, also in English, but ... a lot of pictures you already know as wallpapers on the net. Whether the two to three-line comment is worth paying extra under the picture, remains to be seen.
Special items: Well, there can be seen no precise values to objects in ME2 (maybe I'm too stupid and have not yet found) I can not say whether the special gun particularly much damage the armor a particularly good has defensive value.
All in Alleim I would say, the normal version of the game is enough. For collectors certainly worthwhile, a waste for gamers who just want to gamble money.
CONCLUSION: CE, one need not necessarily mean the game is excellent (despite many changes) and I can the people who think it buy only say: buy buy buy!
