"Which lens should I take today?" The wonder some repeatedly, if a day are times on the road, but want to carry around not much / can. I recommend a lens with a focal length midpoint. So you're never too close to an object draufzubekommen. And one should even want to make a portrait or something like that want to have close, so you do not need quite so close to go off.
I already have the following Walimex Pro VDSLR lenses for Canon EF Mount:
16mm
35mm
85mm
Now I wanted to bring me a lens in the central area and have bought this new 50mm lens, which I was able to try out at the Photokina trade show.
First of all: I film and take pictures with all my Walimex Pro cine lenses on the Canon 700D.
I like the fact that it is possible the aperture ring and focus ring somewhat clumsy move, as with the other objectives of the series. Of course, still continuously, but stop with a little more resistance.
The lens is fairly well made and makes a very strong impression, which might surprise even the low price one or the other. The front lens cap feels, however, again very cheap to. But that is the only thing that seems inferior to the lens.
The Bokeh is a bit strange. Blur circles form relatively round circles, if you completely open the aperture, but it does so as if light circles with bright colors a bright ring in itself. Once the panel is closing a bit, the soft blur circles octagonal (STOP sign form).
One in my opinion, even if you open the aperture completely, so remains a generous depth of field.
The packaging is a little smaller than the other lenses in the series.
The included carrying bag is nice, but the lens has not really dampened protection.
Short in brief:
* Very good processing (except lens cover)
* Aperture and focus ring are positively cumbersome to turn
* Cooler hue
* Soft, stop sign-shaped divergent "circles"
* When fully open aperture blur circles are round, but it's still an unconventional Bokeh (easily visible thin rings in circles of confusion with bright colors)
* Despite completely open aperture, generous depth of field
* Aperture can be up to T-22 close
* A very good cine lens, especially for this low price.
