This is not the first police officer Henning Mankell I read. We find the Commissioner Wallander and often pessimistic introspection, as well as allusions to changes in Swedish society. What makes this book a very good Mankell is balance found in this book between the two, which is not always the case in others where I sometimes find lengths in the development of "thoughts deep "Wallander. And the allusions to changing morals here are more general and more relevant: young people who continue to strike even when the other is down, the increasing number of keys and doors to the home, computer exchanges ... But do not forget the most important: a well paced police investigation, with information distilled throughout the progress of the investigation. The book is read in one sitting, with great pleasure.
