Forget computers for children (2-5 years): too complicated for the child, they require the constant presence of an adult, and with their tiny black and white screen, they are ultimately unattractive and even less fun. And invest in a Dokéo. The system is simpler but more accessible to children and more attractive. We slip a listing on the console (personally, my 2 year old son there not come evil and 2 1/2 years it has occasionally need help) and go. Then simply press illustrations (areas that "react" are many) for a sentence, a word, a sound. Two levels for picture book (a word or a longer sentence descriptive). He was then able to play (3 levels): Research into the image of a word combination of two images ... and forgot the principle of niv3!). On each card a character sings nursery rhymes are fun, well-orchestrated and recorded. Alas, it is true that we sometimes struggles to understand the words at first (they are listed in the user manual). It's a shame. The themes are varied: the rooms of the house, the clothes, the mountains, the forest, the garden, the sea, the circus ... Children learn colors, shapes, names of animals, body parts, numbers ... etc ... On one card to another, there are many finds in the presentation, games ... that avoid the monotony!
a downside: the plug on the theme of the market: the cheese is a pig, a dog butcher who sells sausage made with pork ... ... and so the cheese !!!! Good children do not go so far to seek, you will say to me; o)
the system allows a good autonomy of children, to be carried anywhere with a handle (the cards rank at the back of the console). Our son likes to play and that should last much I think.
quite durable: a fall already and the game still works, the plugs are tear-resistant. As against the screw that closes the battery is damaged, it had to tinker.
a well-designed game that can last for several years at a fair price (50 euros for us when we purchase).
