Although 3 tracks first pretty little sound: The title track has ever 16 minutes complex, emotional and hard innovation, "Debris" is anyway one of the best songs the band has ever written, if not the best (is guaranteed forever in head ...!). "Broken glass" sounds then in the piano version again very beautiful and melancholic insane.
What you should notice in any case, is the bonus material: First the video clips on your PC, showing the band in the work in the studio during the recording of "Black Light District" and "Souvenirs", with a total running time again of approximately the audio portion, very interesting course. Recommendation: only open CD to the PC, then open movies, so as to avoid any unpleasant complications ... In addition, you will find the bonus features still photos and a biography.
But there is also an audio bonus track, hiding at the beginning of the CD! (Do you have to first come through intensive logical thinking on it ...) For me at least is the only way to play it, if I, with my CD player from the beginning of the CD rewinding, about 2:38 min., But beware it rewinds too far, go back to the first track before, with me at least ... The track is then again something special, atmospheric and not comparable with the rest ...
Anyway, this CD belongs in any reasonable masterpiece collection, but it also marks the beginning of The Gathering's own label and thus absolute artistic freedom, which you can hear ...
