This kit suited me perfectly:
- A very easy installation
- A rate never caught out even when there are multiple simultaneous connections flow plaintiff as video streaming. This rate is probably not the fastest on the market but enough for me and even exceeds my needs => it is not useful for me to invest in kits up to 2 times more expensive.
That's the main thing. But there also has useful features or characteristics:
- The integrated socket all in a much smaller volume than other kits
- The ability to plug these adapters up or down
- A light that shows through the color it takes (red / orange / green) the quality of the power outlet where the adapter and therefore we anticipated trendy low flow rates
- Automatic switching to Standby when the adapter is not in use and consumption then near-zero.
Both adapters come with 2 cables class 6. It's good but I would have preferred a little longer (they 2m).
There is a secure mode. As I explained very well Nanou (I thank), in an apartment, for example, it is quite possible to put a plug in an apartment and the other in a second, and that it works. Secure mode allows to ensure that if his neighbor took the same plugs as yours, you can not communicate with you, and therefore you can not hack into your computer or Internet access.
I have not yet experienced the interoperability problem, knowing that we must be aware that these XAV5401 adapters can coexist with HomePlug products (PLC adapters 14, 85, some 200 Mbps) without worries but are interoperable with Powerline Homeplug AV and of course, IEEE 1901.
I have not yet experienced the problem of untimely cuts.
Using this kit for less than a month, I have yet the necessary perspective on the last two points, but if unfortunately malfunctions appeared, I would know about this column.
As it stands, I can only recommend this kit that combines good performance, reliability and moderate price. Technically, it only deserves 4 * if we compare its speed with that of adapters (much) more expensive but I granted him 5 * Given account of its price / quality ratio.
