I actually had no desire to write a review, because that always claimed a lot of time, but I do not want that this title is misjudged and goes unnoticed, because that has this game absolutely do not deserve.
Also, I must also mention that I've been looking forever for a good MX title for the PS3, because most titles on the market are very very arcade-standard and not even 10% realistic.
I'm going to tell succession, which I noticed as:
When you will start the game quite reminiscent MotoGP13.
There is a narrator who leads the player through the game somewhat and explains everything one. There is also a short tutorial videos where one learns how to deal with the game, because here it's not like in many other MX games where you just can heat it going. Here is finally a MX-simulation (if you set the driving aids accordingly).
Then you can once create his driver, as it was already in MotoGP13, there are only the same faces to choose from, but that does not really bother me, because I have not got a RPG but a racing game in which I always wear a helmet , Accordingly, simple and short is designed character creation.
Then you get into the menu that is so constructed as consisting MotoGP13. There are again different game modes and everything is quite nicely designed with the background image. I plunged only then, as in pretty much any racing game, first on the career, because I like my own character to bring it forward.
Since I will also continue the same slides in my cab, which is also constructed as in MotoGP13, but somewhat different. This type of recycling does not bother me, because that is what matters to me in a racing game not to and also that's nice to look at.
So I ventured equal to the first race in which one but at first only as a wildcard rider is on the way to show his skills. Before the race, you must adjust driving aids and racing options again. In MXGP the driver's weight transfer plays an important role and here you can also set whether the transfer should be done automatically or manually.
The load times are in my opinion a little shorter than it was in MotoGP and before the start of the race you may once again enjoy a video of the course and surrounding area, as with MotoGP.
After loading one lands in his paddock, where you can adjust his machine etc ..
Then when I started the race I thought once that it really looks damn good, better than I imagined and better than in the youtube videos. The sounds are MX-typical and drivability is just awesome. It's not easy and it feels real as on the MX engine in the deep mud. The bike does not behave (as in many other MX games) as if you drive on the asphalt, you can feel the deep furrows and the wet mud. One should always think carefully where you go along, because correspondingly deep the mud and the traces and accordingly otherwise behaves the machine. In addition, you should make sure that you come up properly, otherwise one is very fast on the ground even after the jumps. It's just much more realistic than many other MX titles on the market and that's what I was looking for.
In many racing games, the distances are always so empty and sterile, but here see the routes much more interesting than the sterile racetracks in MotoGP or F1. Moreover MXGP's made my life much more fun with the jumps, the filth and the different routes.
Driver prospects there are only 2, but also from the rich. Either the usual view from the rear or even the view from head perspective in which to come across the jumps better.
The game also offers again some little things that are not obvious, but make the game anshenlicher.
If you eg. A certain time on the track have been traveling machine and driver absolutely filthy. Also in the paddock, you watch his filthy machine. If you drive on the track, you can also see the driver's shirt flapping in the wind. Those are little things that can cheer a somehow internally :).
The control is not unfair or difficult. It takes some time, but then it's pretty easy and well and then you can change the driving aids to increase the difficulty.
A photo mode is also available again. However, you can pause the game during this time, and then export the photos straight to the XMB and not only in the repetition, as in MotoGP13.
The AI is perfectly fine, until now I have not this Gumibandeffekt, can detect as MotoGP. By this I mean that one is partly 3-4 seconds behind the winners, but on the last lap overtaken him then you loose and let him four seconds behind. In MotoGP I had at the start is always the problem that the AI is stubbornly drove the racing line, ie if someone was on the racing line in the way, he was partially easily knocked over. This is so no longer. Maybe it is also due to the different starting because the MX all start on the same line, displaced only laterally.
But until now, I was also not crowded on the routes of the route.
Overall, it is more stable and less choppy than MotoGP13 and it looks clearly better. MotoGP13
was then partially completely unfinished for release that the boys of Milestone clearly improved and abolished here. One notices that the developers have learned from mistakes and have avoided.
In conclusion I will say that it has become a great game and I want to thank Milestone that they dare to develop games that do not make any big sales because the market is too small.
Nevertheless, they always manage with relatively few resources to create a einwanfreies game.
Of course, there will again be a tester or players who find fault in the game. But I'm glad that it finally gives a very good MX game for the PS3 and as I look over little things (so far I have but still no discovered) away and have easy fun of the game.
Those looking for a very good MX-game is a simulation and is accordingly sophisticated, the need to consider resorting to this title. I also find the 59 justice, because if developers venturing into areas that do not have a large market and deliver games, the (in my view) are very good, then they should be rewarded for his efforts.
