I installed the driver on a Windows PC PRO 8.1 64bit, I have to say the Trendnet software is pretty capricious: sometimes he did not simply launch (or pilot plant I do not know), so can not connect automatically wifi. When it launches when you start the PC, it takes several seconds to connect to the default wireless network registered my laptop windows 7 wifi connects instantly.
The 5GHz connection has never been stable, but this may be due to the distance to the router (the 5GHz band is shorter than the 2.4Ghz)
The flow rate is satisfactory in 2.4GHz, 270Mbps ~ 5m router behind a partition and a bearing wall, enough to watch 1080p HD video from a NAS.
The pros:
- Good flow rates 2.4GHz, 5GHz even more but to be close to the router.
- Aggressive Pricing for AC dual band wifi.
The -:
- Software TrendNet whimsical, complicated to have a wireless connection to the 1st start
- Usb stick big enough, long and wide!
Finally I found a solution through me TrendNet software (always installed but disabled at startup), I save the network manually via the "Network and Sharing Center windows" and here I am connected from the start of the computer.
