The lamp is properly handled and shows after about 4 months of intensive use, no wear and tear. Only the batteries are charged in an external processor-controlled charger. With the original charger, the lamp should be already stored in a cool, otherwise it will be quite warm.
My tip: Instead of Ixon IQ rather take two LIGHTster and means of adjustment (to adjust well by scanning) laterally aligned (ie the left one click to the left, the right one click to the right), so that the luminous image is somewhat widened. In the middle then 40 lux and has a fine edge illumination for deer, dogs, cats walkers ...
Only for the trail it is good not good, because I lack the light right on the front. Field and rural roads are not a problem, in duplicate fortiori.
By the way I use the lamp in everyday life while walking the dog, take her with the car, just where you can use a good flashlight. She stops at the back, so it serves as a reading lamp on vacation. (Tailstand, "ceiling-bounce")
She is me sometimes even dropped without damage in the function, only scratches. Had she not pushed right to the holder, here one must probably be careful.
I am happy.
