(1) WHITE NOISE: A driving beat and a fantastic melody, the perfect place to start the album wonderfully. None.
(2) MEXICAN GRAND PRIX: The song takes quite long to get warm. A solid Mogwai song. No more and no less.
(3) RANO PANO: The first highlight of the album. So a nasty ear candy (of course in a good way) I had long no longer. Whoever does not get goose bumps, is clinically dead.
(4) DEATH RAYS: A little breather. The Kopfkino works and getting lost in the dreamy melodies to be woken up with a powerful soundscape. Great!
(5) SAN PEDRO: Wide awake you go in this rousing song. Neat rock and unfussy.
(6) LETTERS TO THE METRO: How do I find a classic quiet Mogwai song, in which you can forget everyday life and tidy dream.
(7) George Square Thatcher Death Party: The ausgefallendste song title of the album and a further, albeit unusual highlight of the album. I guess the song you can win even Mogwai newbies because the song is still catchy.
(8) HOW TO BE A WEREWOLF: And there is already the next highlight. Starts calm and relaxed, and then break out and to increase more and more. This song is addictive!
(9) TOO RAGING TO CHEERS: The powerful drums shake to get ready to make a for the final (and longest) song. Amazing "hard" song, I like this place
(10) YOU'RE Lionel Richie: Lionel Richie should fall on their knees in front of this great song. Here just plug everything in it, which makes Mogwai so awesome and unique. Somehow I hear always been a little tool influences. A wonderful conclusion!
The Limited Edition offers then a real gem on the second CD: The Epic "MUSIC FOR A Forgotten Future", composed of two artists and their "MONUMENT FOR A Forgotten Future" (GoogleT times thereafter)
Sorry for the pathetic expression, but that's not a song, but a damn horny, 23minĂ¼tige roller coaster ride of emotions. But this song is worth the money already.
This album deserves a full five stars. And I say this way, as a longtime fan of Mogwai, who can do the comparison with the other albums.
Headphones on, close your eyes and enjoy!
