Engine flash following the zoom position (with LCD display - the flash setting of my old Canon manual), you leave almost dropped the manual mode, even for the most expert! For power, nothing to do with the flash of the HS-20. You can shoot a home at night to 10 meters, as if "it were illuminated by the sun."
Side look, it goes very well with the camera. Nickel.
As for the price, it seems a bit high compared to that of the HS-20, but when looking at the cost of flash Canon, Nikon, Sony & co ...
In short, I was hesitant to take this flash given the price, and in the end I won. I again superb black & white portraits ceiling lighting!
One regret all the same, there is no indication of battery level indicator or low. It is quite embarrassing, especially with NIMH batteries (I recommend the "eneloop" Sanyo), because when the batteries are empty, this happens suddenly and you are not notified at all (flash is on but emits more light!). Better to have a set of advance.
However, I wonder what is the AF flash assistance. For other models the HS-20, that seems to say "manual"?
Edit, after 6 months of use, I removed one star because of a management really damaging energy. As I said, no battery level, does not prevent when it's empty, but worse, it goes to sleep automatically when you stop the camera. Suddenly, the screen goes out and forget to move the switch to Off. Meanwhile, the continuous flash of energy and eat the next day ... nothing. I would have preferred that no stop, the display remains lit, allowed to think about stopping. Too bad.
