A marvel

Anticipation - I have this soundtrack so far only as old, scratchy cassette, which I did when this wonderful and at the time most time critical and comedic movie was released in theaters me have dubbed from a buddy.
Today "Forrest Gump" ran again in German TV. What can I say, the film is even after 20 years still absolutely worth seeing. Great actor, Tom Hanks would have had at that time deserves more than an Oscar. Gary Sinise and also Sally White very impressive. There are really only two Hollywood movies that I can watch over and over again, is a Forrest Gump and the other Wag the Dog.
The soundtrack to FG undertakes a journey through the history of American music at the time, as Forrest Gump (allegedly) lived. You can listen to it again and again and there seem many socially critical undertones by. My favorite track is "Volunteers of America".
I shall never forget also the "Forrest Gump Suite" at the end, with the image of the air to dancing spring.
It is time that I grow me this music on CD :-)
