George RR Martin's A Game of Thrones 4-Book Boxed Set: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, and A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire) (Paperback)

Customer Review

Usually, I am not on fantasy 'I am more someone who feels at home in the world of technology, and thus one of the sci-disciples. But the world the author has created, is anything but naive, tailored to teenage boys, and sometimes ridiculous fare that is associated otherwise with Fantasy. The story that George RR Martin is told in this set rough, menacing, full of violence and political intrigue. She has a bittersweet taste, from which one no longer gets away, after having tasted the first time.
The author is not afraid of time to make the main character a full end, if that's the story relevant. In this way, enormous tension is built up, and one with a fever every time it looks as if it were the next figure, which one has in his heart, go to the collar. The dialogues are bursting with wit and wordplay, and arouse the feeling as if you were listening to real people in how they talk (this is why I would recommend anyone who is of English is powerful, to buy this set, and in to leave German translated books left). The author has even succeeded in some of the 'bad guys' appear very sympathetic and endearing to lassen'überhaupt is certainly in no time, who the good guy and who's the bad guy. This story has no black or white, only the many shades of gray. It deals with individual destinies, but at the same time it is epic, and goes to the global developments in this real-looking world that knows no happy ending.
'A Song of Ice and Fire' is a Meisterwerg which I highly recommend even readers who disenchanted the fantasy genre nothing!
