A "masterpiece" was announced ... This is not wrong!

For now, even a word to the eternal critics who always whine the same: that which the Count now & does today, has nothing to do with Gothic course GAR. The count is just evolving as well. But compare this music with pop, is one big joke and just blind helplessness, because these people understand the success not with such music! And since you have to say: No matter how many "hits 1-star reviews" yet to come, this album is a smash hit! Finish & so must also live, the viewing here as a pop ... Everyone has their own taste in music, but constructive criticism would be more helpful!

Now to the music: The album is full of profundity and sincerity. It is authentic and beautiful melancholic! And at the same time makes it hope! One must not exaggerate with the term "Meisterwek", but it is an excellent German-language album that everyone should buy who thinks love to hear when listening to music & music, tells the stories of life, yet like catchy music! If you completely loathe commercialism, you will be disappointed by some numbers. Nevertheless, this album has not become a verkommerzialisiertes album by far -> quite the opposite: It's just a rather quiet, thought provoking album.

1. The light (Intro): Yes Is just the intro, but musically really good and dramatic! 9/10
2. The song Herzwerk is one of the few hard, recalled old times songs that comes along anyway with a catchy chorus! Good! 8/10
3. SO as you were convinced with great melody and gorgeous, you could say, "melancholy hope"! One of the best numbers! 10/10
4. A little more pop comes DAYS LIKE GOLD, therefore, but with very deep lyrics. It's all about the quick "fly away" of life. 7/10
5. Andreas Bourani feature as we were convinced lyrically and vocally both hamonieren great! Again, it comes to a central theme of this album: the past! A song in which one is almost forced to think ... Also musically convincing! Great feature! 9/10
6. IMMORTAL is a very quiet piano ballad with beautiful harmonious sounds. Nice number! 7/10
7. The next song FEUERLAND is again a little more rock with driving guitars. Reminded of past Unholy times! Once again, the refrain is very in the ear, acting commercially! Despite good song! 7/10
8. The title track lights of the city tells a proper story. Again, coming back this "melancholy hope" over. A bit faster, yet incredibly poignant, the number passing through. Simply telling them to take some more time to look at the "city lights" and to let life just once his life and "to take time" and "rest". One of the strongest numbers. 10/10
9. Back in the catchy piano-style of the song is a good way comes. The text takes a again and is about a life together, one goes or will go. Convinced. 9/10
10. a great life begins with some unusual sounds for Unholy. Precisely for this reason, but something new and still quite commercially! The text, however, is again absolutely awesome! Musically well, just catchy. In the song the singer another person wants a good UDN carefree life! This song is really good !! 8/10
11 burn to something entirely new. Rocky, but somehow trendy ... But very successful! 8/10
12. The clearly best song of this album is time travel, the duet with Xavier Naidoo. The text has again Vergangnheit as the theme, a look back and a time trip into the past and years! Eben "back to what was once"! Both voices are great! Lyrically and musically really a masterpiece ... Hopefully someday a single! Mega great and poignant! 11/10 :)
13 LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL has fallen a bit monotonous and commercially! Nevertheless, the number is inordnung and is a little different. The text is as always good! 6/10
14. Album EISENMANN hardest number is again the older style of Unheilig. But is very well advised yet. Great Guitars & convincing texts once more! 8/10
15. The last song FORGET is again a quiet number with orchestral sounds! However, become very beautiful & thoughtful. 9/10
16. THE CITY (Instrumental): Really Cool instrumental piece !! 9/10

So with an average of 8.43 points out of 10, the album deserved 4 stars! But because of the emotionality of this plate I give an extra star! A few numbers stand out and convince incredible: Namely ". As we were feat Andreas Bourani", "AS you were" ". ZEITREISE feat Xavier Naidoo" and "city lights" are the best numbers of the album! A total failure does not exist!
Bottom line, a great successor of the album "Grosse Freiheit", the coming over real & honest! Great album of Count ... :)
