Celtic, Middle Eastern, Slav, influences abound and form as usual a rare and perfect alchemy. Deep and dark this album surprises if you stayed on "The Mask and The Mirror". While the melodies are as powerful, the tone is more serious, the general atmosphere is heavy and the disc is generally darker. But sulk this album for the displayed blackness would be a mistake because it signifirait miss two little gems: "Night Ride Across The Caucasus" (Soldier heard in the film) and "Dante's Prayer" which alone justify the purchase of disk.
