In 2003, Nintendo still ruled the handheld market in a quasi-monopoly and could afford many things.
The publisher had therefore resumed its 1993 compilation remake (Super Mario All Stars Classic) and had dispatched two ends on GBA cartridges:
- Super Mario Advance: Super Mario Bros. 2
- Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3.
If the practice may annoy the gamer-consumer, it allowed the happy owner of the GBA to enjoy one of the best platform games of all time in a portable version.
Even Nintendo has struggled to match that Super Mario Bros. 3 and is often inspired for other adventures of the plumber. [1]
As already said, this is a port of the SNES version of the game and therefore benefits from 16-bit graphics, thinner and more colorful.

Also present (as in all Mario Advance) a revamped version of Mario Bros Classic (playable on several players with a single cartridge).
Additions that are always fun but not enough to carry out the other versions.
Only remains the pleasure of taking his game everywhere with you, but today few will be retro-gamers who will pay interest to this version.
Those with a Super Nintendo version will probably "All Stars" original.
Others may have had the opportunity to get his portage collector's edition on Wii, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary in 2010 ..
Otherwise, there is always the original NES version, also available on Virtual Console Wii.

[1] The structure of recent "New Super Mario Bros.," "New Super Mario Bros. Wii" or "Super Mario 3D Land" is taken from "Super Mario Bros. 3". In addition, the Tanooki suit was "resurrected" in the recent game on Nintendo 3DS.
[2] Moreover, the e-card reader has never been distributed by Nintendo Europe. Only our American and Japanese friends were able to get their hands on.
