A nice change for a very good tablet

Happy owner of a Galaxy Tab 2, I'm tempted by the 3 Tab (10.1-inch model).
Upon opening, printing is excellent: no finer than the Tab 2, light is finite, no complaints. His white livery is elegant and lateral aluminum frame makes a pretty object.
The speakers are strategically placed laterally in the tablet thickness. Their position is that they are not obscured by your fingers, a good point. Similarly, the buttons on / off and volume are well positioned in the top left. No complaints.
The big changes from the Tab 2 are:
- The presence of physical buttons for basic Android functions (menu / home / back) to use, it's a good choice. This frees up screen space for applications.
- A micro-USB port for charging / data exchange: FINALLY! a big plus compared to the Tab 2 provided it with a Samsung proprietary port.
- An infrared port: very nice to use the tablet as a remote control; The tablet also comes with a small remote control very good application that works very well. Many other uses are possible.

The battery life is excellent, 3 to 5 days with my typical usage (Internet, email, netbanking, reading (Kindle app) and some small games).

Apart from that, the Tab 3 comes with the excellent Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, no complaints. The overlay Samsung (TouchWiz) is very discreet, if not invisible. An update to Android 4.3 is officially provided by the manufacturer in the coming months.

Finally, a 10-inch tablet here was of excellent craftsmanship: powerful, very fluid, very responsive, the correct quality, very good screen. Really very pleasant to use.

For Tab 2 users, it is clear that the Tab 3 is not a "revolution", but definitely a great "evolution." Samsung signed with Tab 1 March friendly product, coherent and well finished. The price / quality ratio is very high in my direction for this tablet, probably one of the best in this category. The report becomes even enjoying the great 50 Euros discount offered by Samsung (currently, up to 10.15.2013).

(As with any tablet, do not forget to keep some extra euros for the purchase of a cover that will protect your valuable equipment.)
