A panacea delivers what it promises

Designed around the turn of the century on behalf of the imperial army to maintain order metal parts of weapons, wooden stocks and leather and to impregnate and simultaneously to disinfect minor wounds this multipurpose oil even at this day still supremely versatile. I was looking for an alternative to the well-known competitors WD40 and became aware of the name Ballistol. The price put me off at first, until I discovered this offer on Amazon, but this overlooked the fact that this is a refill and not a spray can, which means you get here a huge can of oil without spray head.
I made it initially a little disappointed aside until my old razor fell into the hands, which had stated slight rust due to lack of care. I opened the box and was initially a little dazed by the pungent smell of oil, which at first I felt uncomfortable, I can smell it now, however, even very happy. I soaked lint-free cloth with the oil and wiped the blade more than once with amazing success: up to a point where the rust was sitting a little deeper, saw blade effortlessly again perfectly. Even the plastic handle got from some oil and shone in mint luster. So all pocket knives were only times revamped and now I was curious and daring me of my old army boots, I had asked a few years ago in the dirty basement and forgotten. I cleaned them roughly with an old brush and wiped with a cloth soaked in old Ballistol on the shoes. The dry leather was sparkling clean and sucked the oil to formally until it shone slightly and looked nourished again. Gradually, I treated all sorts of leather shoes in the basement and was thrilled. Brown Shoe darken over time and you should apply the oil evenly as possible, as this can lead to staining else, but these spots disappear after a few hours, as well as the intense smell.
I found now a washed-pump sprayer of a hair care product, and filled it with the oil, 500ml are a whole lot because Ballistol can be applied very sparingly.
Meanwhile, I have thus sprayed door locks of cars, an ignition lock, the poles of a removed battery, the exhaust system of a mothballed car from the inside, to prevent rust caused by condensation, I unscrewed the air filter of a petrol engine and neatly sprayed Ballistol in the carburetor, then the motor rotated a few turns and hopefully wet the cylinder walls with Ballistol. I also have seals, folds, creases and edges of the mothballed cars leatherette seat bolsters are trimmed, all chrome parts and polished aluminum wheels partially treated. Everything shines in a beautiful shine, dirt and rust especially on the chrome parts are removed with ease and kept acting the parts treated and protected.
Even old tool I have been using the oil you create that new look again. Not only a rusty hammer head and a rusty ax, what I got back fairly sharply again see good (the grate is of course not disappeared), the weathered and dried up acting, untreated wooden handles see again from juicy and fresh.
I could now determined yet almost endlessly continue the list of application examples for cleaning windows and glass surfaces, I was maybe not apply, but otherwise replace this one product many individual specialty products not only, but it is in my opinion even a better alternative to the so-called special products.
I just missing the test on a wound, I would now no longer even shy. Finally a product that can keep the promises and indeed in some cases even surpass I'm thrilled!

Ballistol should belong to the basic equipment of every household and every workshop, the fields of application are extremely varied and you get to new ideas, which could still treat everything with it.
Especially the leather care has impressed me, as well as wood and metal can thus help to protect the freshness and new materials.

- The smell is getting used to, however, flies in well-ventilated areas very quickly and completely
