Alain de Libera is known to want to demonstrate that European thought owes everything to Islam and Arab thinkers. It attempts to meticulously disassemble European culture. It was he who led the charge against the book Aristotle at Mont Saint-Michel using outrageous and slanderous methods against its author.

Under the guise of scientific work it is a purely political work.
Read rather the remarkable work of Emile Bréhier, History of Philosophy, also published by PUF.
