I give "Simon" right.
The Händling with finger grips up and down is excellent. The dark green rubber surface, the finish, the solidity and the operation (focusing diopter adjustment) just great!.
This Glass (Porro construction) I like it much better than the "diorite" (Roof), it is m. E. also thought out better, more precise image quality and on top of that is a lot cheaper!
All covers are attached to the binoculars, the carrying case with Velcro fastener is more practical than with the zipper, also has a foreign and another inside pocket and is of high quality.
But the best part is the imaging performance.
First, contrary to my fear, I come with 11x without a tripod very good, the picture is not dancing. A tripod connection is available but unlike the diorite and the picture is simply much better than the 8x56.
The resolution is verbluffend and stands binoculars that cost many times, in every way (at least in my copy).
I can still very precisely detect the individual needles of a pine tree 60 meters. The field of view is 105 m / 1,000 m pleasantly wide, the image is due to the large eyepieces very large sized, high-contrast and very, very plastic. I have nothing to complain about, neither insufficient sharpness at the edge, even color bleeding or discoloration, it's just all right. But the most beautiful is the visual comfort. I can use the binoculars with and without eyeglasses and the viewing pleasure is huge, comparable to my Eschenbach Trophy AS / P with all Schickanen, only a fraction of the price.
To the enjoyment of the precision optics of this resolution, however, one must work very, very closely and sensitively to the setting. Once because the diopter setting very short-sighted people have not realized, and secondly because the depth of focus is very low.
So you have to have to consider whether you want to use the glass with or without glasses and adjust the diopter right exactly, because it is obviously different with than without glasses. For me, the attitude is not enough without glasses entirely: I have to take sides with the optimum sharpness.
It is noteworthy that the focus range is very low and only a few meters.
Therefore, at least one finger must remain in focus and play to look for the best picture result in a fraction of a mm, even more so when the object moves. The translation may be a little "just" to or too short. The central focus is a little stiff, clearly requires more power than the Nikon, Olympus, Minolta, Eschenbach, etc., but that fits well in the concept, because as I said, you have to very feinfüllig and handle it carefully.
For the trained observer, it is not really a problem, but people who do not want to bring this patience and tact, had better have recourse to another binoculars, perhaps the Olypus 8x42, a 8x50 or 10x50 Nikon in this price range, however, lose sight of something magnification.
For hiking, the glass with approx. 1.5 kilograms actually too heavy because it is better to take a Nikon Travelite 8x25 or a small Zeiss, but if towing is not an issue, then the 11x56 belongs in the luggage, because it brings a great visual experience. One does not need to fümmeln in his pocket and take the lid or to search. The glass is thoroughly practical and convenient.
Nitrogen-filled and O-ring seal are nowhere in the description. But frankly, that's not a pair of binoculars for masters or for diving and it is approx. 200 euros cheaper.
The binoculars are certainly worth the money and provides for the price of approx. 120 Euro much optical quality, robustness and practicality. I would buy this pair of binoculars at any time recommend.
